& Conditions

Booking Terms for Venue Hire:

 

1. Reservation and Deposit:

   a. To secure the booking, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.

   b. The deposit amount and payment method will be communicated during the booking process.

   c. The deposit will be deducted from the total venue hire fee.

 

2. Host Responsibility:

   a. No outside liquor is allowed on the premises.

   b. Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited indoors.

   c. The venue has an R18 policy unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Minors will be provided with a coloured and noted wristband and will not be served at the bar. The guardian must purchase all beverages.

 

3. Food and Catering:

   a. No outside food is allowed unless arranged for catering. A catering fee may apply.

 

4. Intoxication and Entry:

   a. Intoxicated individuals will be denied entry to the venue.

   b. The venue maintains a high standard of host responsibility and reserves the right to refuse service to anyone showing signs of intoxication.

   c. Individuals over 18 without Legal Identification will be denied entry to the venue. Individuals under 18 must show an appropriate form if ID, such as Student ID or standard legal ID, alongside their guardians Legal ID.

 

5. Bringing Your Own DJ:

   a. DJs are welcome to bring their decks to plug directly into the venue's sound system.

   b. The venue has a limited sound system to ensure there are no noise complaints.

 

6. Damages:

   a. Guests are responsible for any damages caused to the venue's property during the event and will be billed accordingly.

 

7. Instructions and Usage:

   a. Guests are advised to follow the instructions provided by the staff on the correct usage of equipment, such as touchscreen screens.

   b. Guests should avoid pressing too hard on the touchscreen screens to prevent damage.

 

8. Toilets:

   a. The toilets are located on the 1st floor to the right.

 

9. Decorations

   a. A time and day will be arranged if you want to put up decorations.

   b. No tape will be used to fix decorations – Blue tack and removable command strips are recommended. Please ensure to bring some along with you.

   c. Slideshows: please bring them in USB format.

 

10. Dress code

   a. Shoes must be always worn. – Broken glass is a common hazard.

   b. No steel caps, work boots, gumboots

   c. Tidy dress, shirt, top, pants, shorts, skirt – Not dishevelled, torn or lack of.

   d. No Caps or Hoods on inside.

11. Photography/Filming

  a. Entertainers hired for your function require no imagery taken of them. Phones will be asked to put away during their performance.

  b. When there is no Entertainer at your function you are more than welcome to take as many photos and videos as you like. Please tag us on your socials! We love seeing how good you all look!

  c. Any imagery taken by staff of XYZ Bar may be used for promotional purposes. Please let us know if a picture of you is uploaded that you wish to be altered to ensure anonymity.
